SCROL has been working since last spring with the French Marine University Network (RUM) to promote university training in Marine Sciences.
Contacted at the beginning of the year, it was during the summer that the collaboration with the Estuarine and Coastal Environment Study Group (GEMEL) was formalized.

The Arago Laboratory in Banyuls (Pyrénées Orientales) houses one of the largest collections of bacteria in Europe, the Bacterial Banyuls Culture Collection, with more than 3000 strains.
With the collaboration of Dr. Ian Probert, SCROL was able to set up an ambitious catalog site which lists the resources available in several Biological Resource Centers in Europe.
After 5 alpha versions of the site, designed and developed in close collaboration with Dr.
EBB (European Marine Biological Resource Center Biobank) is a program that brings together the most important Biological Resource Centers in the Atlantic region.

This summer, SCROL has moved for the third time in seven years. Working at home makes it so easy, finally. Now located at three minutes from the English Channel, SCROL is reconnecting with its roots and its interest in the sea.
