You will find here a list of some scientific sites made with the Drupal CMS (version 7 and 8).
This summer, SCROL has moved for the third time in seven years. Working at home makes it so easy, finally. Now located at three minutes from the English Channel, SCROL is reconnecting with its roots and its interest in the sea.
After several months of tests and adjustments, two sites have been migrated to their final URL: TRACK (track-embrc.eu) and RAI (embrc-research-aquarium-infrastructure.eu).
SCROL is following Drupal 8 Developer training for 2 days, on CAEN, at the M2i Formation agency.
During 3 days, between June 9 and 12, SCROL taught Drupal 8 to the Cybermarketing Apprentice promotion of the FIM CCI Formation.
SCROL teaches Drupal. Web trainer since 2013 at FIM CCI Formation (Saint-Lô, Manche), SCROL shares its knowledge about the CMS Drupal to several sectors in Multimedia, level Bac + 3 to Bac + 5. Through a concrete example, the learners create during the whole course (over 3 or 4 days) a site under Drupal from A to Z, by creating a type of personalized content, by manipulating the taxonomy, by creating Views with relations and context filters, by arranging content display with Display Suite, by creating a sub-theme to best adjust the appearance of their site, etc.
Every website needs a space to express itself. SCROL therefore offers a hosting service on a dedicated, secure, regularly updated and backed up server. SCROL takes care of everything, renting the domain name (free for you), migrating the site to the server, managing backups, monitoring performance. In addition to its own monitoring, SCROL trusts DUTIKO for the outsourcing of the server, double security for SCROL customers.
From the moment the site is published, the work is not finished. Indeed, Drupal is a living ecosystem with frequent updates of modules and Drupal core. And it's not just about pressing an Update button. When a module is updated, SCROL always checks for proper operation and good communication with the Drupal core and all other installed modules. In the event of a problem, SCROL looks for a solution (patch), delays the update and shares the problem to the developers in order to participate in the optimization of the Drupal tool.
SCROL provides its client with a first beta version of the site, a functional version as close as possible to the expected result. At this stage, the customer is invited to test all the functions he had requested and to visit all the pages of the site to check texts, media, etc. After a period determined in agreement with both parties, the client provides feedback to SCROL to comment and correct the work. SCROL includes the desired modifications and offers as soon as possible a new beta version to be tested, until the complete agreement of the customer.
SCROL supports you at the very beginning of your web project by producing step by step specifications defining the project. Thanks to this document, the two parties discuss, comment on, develop and project themselves on the future website. The different functions of the site, the navigation tree, the texts and images, the layout, all these elements will be imagined.
